John Wesley Opoku grew up with a hunger for God that shaped everything he became. From a young age, music was never just a talent for him. It was the language through which he learned to pray, to praise, and to draw others into something bigger than themselves. Today, that same fire drives every song he writes and every stage he stands on.
His debut releases, the Sounds of Prayer EP and the AfroPraise Medleyalbum, blend contemporary gospel with African rhythms in a way that feels both fresh and deeply rooted. Tracks like “Army of the Lord,” “Abba Father,” and “Bra (Come)” have reached listeners around the world, not because they are polished, but because they are honest.
But for John Wesley, worship has never been enough on its own. In 2014, he founded the Eleos Foundation Global to serve orphans, the poor, and the disadvantaged with education, healthcare, and basic needs. For him, faith without love in action is incomplete. That belief is at the heart of everything this ministry does.
